When Christina retired three years ago from her job as ombudsman at the Swedish Police Union, she decided to escape the Swedish autumn and winter in favour of the sun and warmth of Portugal. It also meant she got to do one of the best things there is, all year round playing Croquet.

During the summer months of June, July and August she goes to Sweden, and with her husband, their two daughters and their partners, play Croquet in her club Sphaera, south of Stockholm.

This is her first international competition and she's looking forward to meeting and playing with the best women in the world.
