Begoña Elzaburu | Begoña is Spanish and a proud mother of four young men who play croquet. She has been playing Golf Croquet since 2016 when she discovered this sport and since has tried to help in its development. She has been a member of two different club's Croquet Committees in Madrid (Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro and Club de Campo Villa de Madrid), She is a part of the World Croquet Federation Management Comitee and has recently been elected as vice-president of the Spanish Federation. This year she won the Women's GC European Championship and was semi-finalist in the Spanish Championship. She enjoys playing with different people and is looking forward to meeting new people. | |
Begoña Gomez Roldós | Begoña works in industrial engineering, is 42 years old, married and mother of two girls and one boy. She started playing croquet in 2014. She qualified as a croquet instructor and is also a referee. She prefers singles to doubles, but loves to play as a couple with her best friend, María Taylor. They were runner-up in Spain in 2019. She is member of the Real Club de Golf de Vistahermosa, in El Puerto de Santa María, the south of Spain. | |
Paz Gonzales de Aguilar | I live in Madrid. I have played croquet since 2017. I played in the World New Zealand Championship on 2019. I was runner up at the first Women's European Championship on 2022. I love croquet very much. | |
Maria Taylor | Maria Taylor, 47 years old, born in Seville, Spain. Lives in Cadiz, El Puerto de Santa Maria, and works as a lawyer. Married to Basilio Iglesias, is mother of two boys and a girl. Started to play croquet in 2014, and from then on has been participating in lots of croquet tournaments, nationals and internationals. She's a qualified coach and a referee. In 2018 she won the Spanish team championship, and in 2019 became runner-up in the Spanish couples championship with her best fríend Begoña Gomez. She has also won other unique tournaments in Spain, such as the Mercedes Oneale tournament (2017) and the Fernando Ansorena tournament (2021). | |
Susana Romero Sainz | Susana Romero is from Spain, married and mother of two daughters. She is a businesswoman and owner of the JC CROQUET brand, a company that manufactures croquet mallets and sells material and clothing for that company. She started playing croquet in 2010 and has since participated in many national and international championships. In 2012 she was champion of Spain in doubles and in 2016 runner-up in Individual and doubles. She is member of the Real Club of Golf Vistahermosa in El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz. Coaching and refereeing matches is a lot of fun for her. |
